Luke Boontjes - 150 Senior Games

On the 2 August 2025 against Monbulk, we celebrate a huge milestone for one of Woori Yallock Football Netball Club’s most respected and admired figures – Luke Boontjies, who runs out for his 150th senior game in the yellow and black.

A two-time premiership player, runner-up Best & Fairest, and a 2023 Outer East Team of the Year selection, Luke’s on-field achievements speak for themselves. But it’s what he brings off the field that truly sets him apart.

There isn’t a single person at Woori who would have a bad word to say about Boon. His leadership, selflessness, and integrity have made him one of the most valued members of our playing group. Whether it’s game day or training night, he consistently sets the standard and lifts those around him.

Luke is also the driving force behind our women’s football program, which he has led with passion and dedication for the past two years. His commitment to growing the game and supporting others embodies what it means to be the ultimate club person.
