Joel began playing for Woori when he was 9 years old in the under 10’s. He was a part of the 1999 Under 11's Grand Final team. Joel and Robbie are the only two players still playing at the club that was a part of this team.
When coming to the senior club there was no under 18's but instead of going elsewhere to play, he stayed and played in the Reserves. It was not long until he graduated into the senior side and has never looked back. Joel went on to be the captain of the senior side for 4 years, he won the best & fairest in 2015. Joel was selected in the leagues team of the year 4 times.
Joel was a part of the winning 2010, 2012,2013 & 2014 Premierships
Joel has been one of the clubs most loyal, courageous and humble players to have played at Woori and we cannot wait until the day we see your boys running around in the black and Yellow with the great number 45.
We wish you all the best on your 350th Senior game. Only 10 more games to break the clubs record holder of 360 games. (Trevor Selby).
Today our club salutes you
